Charlotte + Dave. The most loveliest of people. Seriously, they were the sort of people that as an extra thank you for my wedding photography, let me and Laura stay in their beautiful Pembrokeshire holiday home! More on that later!
This wedding was a special one. Also, this wasn't the first time Charlotte + Dave had said "I do" to each other. They'd been married earlier on in life, and for one reason or another let each other go. Later on in their life they reconnected, and couldn't think of a reason why they shouldn't get married... Again!
The wedding was stunning. They were married in the chapel of Manorbier Castle on a beautifully sunny day in Pembrokeshire. They walked together down the aisle in front of their friends and family, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house as they did.
Getting married in castle by the way? Definitely best way to do it!!!
Afterwards, it was on to their favourite local restaurant called (no.32 Townhouse) in Narberth where hilariously funny speeches and good food followed.
It was at this wedding I took possibly my favourite photograph of all time...
I was up the front by the altar, and all of a sudden I hear the dreaded famous iPhone ringtone on full pelt... The groom's brother on the front row tried to ignore it and hope the caller would hang up, but they didn't... It got louder and louder! The place went up in laughter when he finally hung up the phone and said "sorry about that"...
The bride and groom requested a photo of themselves in the same pose that they were photographed 37 years before (in 1978), when they were first married. That was literally the only request they had for me all day - which as a wedding photographer, was music to my ears!
