I just love the Cotswolds. As a Wedding Photographer, it's perfect. There are so many details at a wedding to photograph, yet when you're nestled in the back garden of England at the Kingscote Barn, you're spoilt for choice!
If you'd like to see some behind the scenes action, check out the vlog from my YouTube channel:
The Cotswolds are ideal for me to photograph weddings at as they are under an hour's drive from Worcester. The landscape in the surrounding area is just stunning, as is the barn itself.
I went to the barn at first to check out the venue as it was my first time shooting a wedding there. I was greeted by the wedding co-ordinator, Claire, who was one of the coolest people ever. If you're getting married here and Claire is in charge, you're in good hands!!! After having a walk around the place and saying hi to Colin (the groom), I headed off to Tuppence Barn, which is also owned by The Kingscote Barn. It's a charming little place where all the girls stayed the night before. There I grabbed some candids of Bridal prep, and I found some really cool stone walls to photograph the beautiful flowers.
When it was time for the bride to walk down the aisle, I captured one of my favourite photographs EVER... Just as the FOB and the Bride arrived down towards the registrar, the FOB gave the Groom a wink, and I managed to capture it, which I was soooooo happy with.
Weddings aren't just all about the Bride and Groom!
The weather was a bit hit and miss all day, but luckily it rained at the right times! Whenever we were outside, it stayed dry enough to grab group shots and portraits. After speeches, Colin, Dannii and me headed back out again to grab some more portraits, of them two, and also of their beautiful daughter.
The whole day was full of so much class, and so many smiling faces.
Also, Colin and Dan couldn't resist having a spin around the car park in Colin's vintage 3 wheeler Morgan.
