KEV + JESS /// A PUNK ROCK WEDDING AT DUMBLETON HALL

This wedding was my second wedding in two days, and my second wedding of the year! I was nervous that I wouldn't have any energy left because I was photographing Beki + Mark the day before, but I woke up to lovely springtime sunshine, and got my act together - and before I knew it I'd put the lenses on the cameras in the car park, and was ready for battle!

I was joined on the day by Tom from Patch Pictures (www.patch-pictures.com) who was shooting video all day. The word cheapens it slightly, it's a wedding film. And this boy makes incredible films. Have a look at the vlog of the day for what it was like to be there!

The whole day was so full of colour, and it's so obvious how much love these two have for each other. Dumbleton Hall was amazing, and especially being spring, we made the most of getting those seasonal yellows and muted tones into as many shots as possible when outdoors.

Towards the end of the night, the light became very pretty. We grabbed some portraits of Kev and Jess from the other side of the lake which added with a couple of daffodils, looked amazing.

Shooting portraits over water is fast becoming a hallmark of how I like to shoot portraits. I guess it's the frustrated landscape photographer in me desperate to get out!
